When you don’t seem to be getting the answer you were hoping for in prayer. Remember the following Scripture:

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways,”
      declares the LORD.

9 “As the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways
and my thoughts than your thoughts.

Just meditate on these scripture verses for the day…God ALWAYS is looking at what is best for you long term not just in the immediate.

Who are you really? Seriously, take a time out for a moment, are you the same person you present yourself as to others?

When you tell people you are a Christian, does your personal life reflect a person who truly walks closely with the Lord.

Can people see the Fruits of the Spirit in your life?  The Fruits of the Spirit are love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.

Or is there any traits of the flesh? The character traits of someone walking in the sinful nature are sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy; drunkenness, orgies.

You know we all can have ghosts in our closets, we can all live a dual life, pretending to be Godly, yet living a life that is actually ungodly.

The key is to be real with yourself. Be real with God. God wants you to love him completely with nothing in the flesh in your life. So…do some soul searching. Ask God if there is anything that you are thinking, feeling and/or doing that he disapproves of that he wants to work on with you.

Integrity is a big deal with God. It is being transparent with God and your fellow man.  It is truly being available to Love and to be loved.

Integrity is being honest with yourself and others. It is not being afraid to share your areas of weakness and sharing your true self with others.

Integrity is being a testimony of Truth. It is walking in the way of Righteousness, it is putting God’s commands before your own. It is being authentic.

Here is a great scripture verse to hold onto:

1Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. 2Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. 3For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. 4When Christ, who is your[a] life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.

5Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry. 6Because of these, the wrath of God is coming.[b] 7You used to walk in these ways, in the life you once lived. 8But now you must rid yourselves of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips. 9Do not lie to each other, since you have taken off your old self with its practices 10and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator. 11Here there is no Greek or Jew, circumcised or uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave or free, but Christ is all, and is in all.

12Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. 13Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. 14And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.

15Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. 16Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God. 17And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. Colossians 3: 1-15.

Dive into God’s word, spend some serious quiet time with the Lord. Allow Christ to dwell deeply in your heart, invite him to remove anything of the flesh from you, and seek the Lord..repent of your ways.

Remember, every single one of us will need to give an account of how we lived our lives. Live for Christ..and let go of the self, temptations, and be real and authentic.

Love,

T.

Parents.

Your parents are always going to be your parents no matter what age you are at. So honor and respect them in what they say and do. They love you and want what is best for you and your future.

It does not matter how old you are, how mature you are, how well you can make decisions in your life, your parents are always going to give you their two cents with your situation.

Honor and respect your parents in what they share with you. But take everything that is disclosed to the Lord to find out what the Lord’s will is for your life.

Some parents can be over protective of their children. And they can share things from a fear based point of view opposed to a love based point of view. That is why it is best that you seek the Lord in all things and what the Lord shares with you is the best for you.

Never allow your parents to dictate your life..allow the Lord to dictate your life. You could possibly go in the wrong direction and step out of fellowship with the Lord if you allow your parents to decide what is best for you.

So use discernment with your parents. Share what is necessary but keep what is sacred between you and the Lord.

Your parents are still human with their own set of imperfections..and see life in a certain way that might not be the way that the Lord wants you to see your life.

Remember that you are in charge of your destiny..and sometimes you do need to cut the emblical cord with your parents so that you can truly soar with Eagle’s wings.

The only reason I am bringing all of this up at this time is because..I am currently temporarily living with my parents. The one parent that I am more sensitive to is my mother. If I don’t spend time in fellowship with the Lord I can easily be distracted with what my mother shares with me. And if I allow what my mother shares with me to “seep” in to my Spirit…I take her word as God’s word even if it is not truth.

So no matter what is shared with you…go to the Lord in prayer..seek the Lord and find out what the Lord’s will is. Parents can be your greatest assest..but they can also be your greatest hinderance if they are not walking with the Lord themselves. So keep in step with the Lord and you will not go wrong.

God will always reveal the truth to you as long as you continue to seek him.

Don’t get distracted and allow your parents to control your life..they may steer you in the wrong direction. And you want to stay in check with God’s will.

Just be sensitive to the Holy Spirit…honor and respect what your parents share..but ALWAYS..but your trust in Jesus Christ to guide you in all things.

Real simple message today…just Love.

Love the way God intended for us all to love. Love unconditionally.

The only way you are truly going to be able to Love others is to have Christ as your Personal Savior. Once you have accepted Christ in your heart, asked for forgiveness and repented of your ways…the Holy Spirit comes into your life to guide you in the ways of the Lord and how to truly love.

When Love directs your path…nothing is impossible, for God is love..and God makes everything possible.

Love conquers all. Love never fails. Love casts out all fears for there is no fear in God’s perfect love.

So…today make the decision to re-committ your life to Christ. Reqlinquish any control, selfish desires, and sins to God. Surrender your life to God..and let God’s spirit have complete control of your entire life.

And then..watch as God just takes over…and loves through you.

Love,

free hugsJust embrace today as though it is your last day on earth.

Reflect on things for about 5-10 minutes..and think about what you would want to say to those you love and those you will simply come in contact with.

What are the words you would want to convey to others if you knew Today was the last day of your life. Think about it…what are the words you would want to express.

Next..think about what you would want to do if Today is the last day of your life. Stop and ponder for about 5-10 minutes. What would you want to do that would have a meaningful impact on others.

love-heart-cloudIf you stop and think about what thoughts came across your mind, I bet they are different than thoughts you would be reflecting on if you thought you had plenty of time to live.

The thoughts are usually of love, concern, and encouragement when someone knows that life is coming to a close. And it is one of the best places to have your mind & heart centered.

So with that said…write down your thoughts..all you would want to say and do. And start living the life the Lord called you to live. Stop living for yourself, pride, ego, and the flesh. Instead live in the Spirit, in Love, and being an expression of God’s grace and favor.

jesus-calvary-15gRenew your mind…in the Spirit. You don’t know when the Lord is going to call you home, and the best thing is to be in a place with a clear conscience and knowing you have done and said all God had asked of you to do and say. Don’t hold back in doing good. Do it more and more as the Day of the Lord is coming soon.

Live as though you were dying…

SnowDayAllow the Lord to convict your heart of any hidden sin.

It is not the funnest experience, but it is the most healing experience you can have with the Lord.

Just take time out of the day to be still before the Lord, allow God to share with you any sins, rebellion, or lack of obedience you have committed.

Let God really speak to you heart, be honest with God. Let God expose anything to you that is seperating you from him. Be open to the Lord’s promptings.

snow_norsey_woods_470_470x352Sometimes we don’t realize what we are doing could be sinful. We can get caught up with activities, work, and going with the flow. If you let your defenses down for a minute, the enemy will play on those areas of weakness and the flesh. So be alert and allow God to speak to your heart of things that perhaps are stumbling blocks.

Like I said conviction from the Holy Spirit is no fun, but when you are open to God to reveal to you your ways…and let God show you right from God..there is healing and peace.

If your heart does not condemn you, that you have Peace with God. Rest in that…but every day, allow God to speak to your heart of any sins..or possible temptations.

sun_snow_oakGod always gives us an avenue of escape from temptations. So be open and receptive to the Lord. Don’t live in a place of denial, ignorance, or rebellion. Don’t live in the flesh and think God is going to bless you as well. Just be real with the Lord.

If you are having a hard time hearing the voice of the Lord, or your quiet time is disruptive because of your thoughts…just Stop. Ask God if there is any sin that is standing in the way of experiencing his presence.

Let Love guide you. Allow Truth to be your cornerstone. Walk in the Light…and allow God to make you White as Snow.
